Introduction

Where the endless world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) meets energy manipulation within many electrical devices – Welcome to the website of Dr. Ahmed’s Intelligent Systems and Energy Labs at McMaster Automotive Resource Centre (MARC). Located in Hamilton, Ontario, McMaster University is known for being one of the top ranked universities for academic and impactful research. Aiming to contribute towards Canada’s 2050 net-zero emission goal, the conducted research involves finding solutions to energy storage, monitoring, and management within Electric Vehicles (EV’s) and Light-Electric Vehicles (LEV’s). Research into other related areas including LiDAR sensor integrations, second-life stationary applications, and validation of neural networks and algorithms are also conducted with the utilization of AI and ML models to perform thorough analysis of data. This leads to insightful predictions/extrapolations with many real-world applications, addressing environmental challenges and driving Canada to a greener, safer, and electronically-powered future.
